Meet Coach David Barker – Head Football Coach at Holdenville High School

David Barker serves as the head football coach for Holdenville High School’s Wolverines in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He guided the team to an impressive 11–1 overall record and an undefeated 7–0 district campaign during the 2024–25 season in OSSAA Class 2A‑II.

Under his leadership, the Wolverines earned a 6th place state division ranking and ranked 38th in their district media area (DMA).

Prior to joining Holdenville, Barker was appointed as head coach in 2022, bringing experience from Genoa Central High School in Arkansas as well as other coaching roles. As head coach, he leads a diverse staff that includes several assistant coaches dedicated to building a strong program and mentoring student-athletes.

Coach Barker’s tenure has revitalized Wolverines football, with noteworthy success both in district competition and on the state stage.
