Maple Park United Methodist Church, located at 11705 S. Elizabeth Street, Chicago, IL, has been a steadfast beacon of faith and community since its founding in 1963. As the body of Christ, the congregation is dedicated to magnifying God’s name through praise, worship, and preaching the Word of God. Committed to serving both spiritual and practical needs, Maple Park strives to uplift the community through its mission to address physical, social, and economic challenges.

Founded by the Board of the Rock River Annual Conference under the guidance of the late Bishop Felton E. May, the church began with 15 pioneers and 20 youth meeting in local schools. By 1965, plans for a permanent home were realized, and on October 31, 1966, the congregation moved into its new church building. Over the years, the church has grown into a thriving congregation, now serving as a spiritual home for families and individuals while providing impactful outreach programs.

Rooted in a legacy of faith and resilience, Maple Park United Methodist Church continues to honor its history while embracing its mission to share Christ’s love and meet the evolving needs of the community it serves.
