Meet Josiah Yeubanks: Building Relationships, Not Just Selling Cars

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Josiah is a proud graduate of Strother High School and comes from a family with deep Oklahoma roots. Today, he serves customers at Joe Cooper Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Shawnee, OK, where he is quickly building a reputation for his friendly, customer-first approach.

Before entering the automotive industry, Josiah proudly served four years in the United States Army as an Infantryman. During his military service, he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and had the opportunity to spend time in both Poland and Germany. Of the places he visited, Germany left the greatest impression on him because of its beauty, culture, and welcoming people.

After completing his military service, Josiah returned home to Oklahoma and began a new chapter in life. He credits a longtime friend who worked at the dealership with introducing him to the automotive business. While the transition from military service to sales was a significant change, Josiah quickly discovered that helping people and building trust were qualities that translated well into his new career.

One statement best describes Josiah’s philosophy toward sales:

“A good salesperson almost has to not act like a salesperson. You have to be a friend and be there to help people.”

That philosophy is at the heart of every customer interaction. Rather than focusing on making a sale, Josiah focuses on understanding each customer’s needs, answering questions honestly, and helping them make the best decision for themselves and their families.

Outside of work, Josiah enjoys basketball, chess, reading, and collecting sports cards. He’s a loyal fan of the Golden State Warriors and hopes to spend more time fishing again, a hobby he enjoyed growing up.

Faith also plays an important role in his life. Josiah attends Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole and believes strongly in the values of faith, family, and serving others.

Exciting days are ahead for Josiah personally as well. He is engaged and looking forward to marrying his fiancée on October 30. As he plans for the future, his goals are simple: build a stable future, provide for his family, and continue serving others both personally and professionally.
