The Williamsons Celebrate First #1 Hit with “Shout” – Listen to the Podcast Here!
The Williamsons are celebrating a major milestone in their career with their first-ever #1 hit on the Singing News Magazine Monthly Chart for December 2015, thanks to their powerful song, Shout.
Written by Lee Black and Gina Boe and sent to radio by Family Music Group, Shout takes listeners on a journey through biblical history, from Joshua to Gideon, culminating in the anticipation of Christ’s return. The song’s infectious energy and celebration of faith have made it a Southern Gospel favorite.
As one of the most polished mixed quartets in the Southern Gospel genre, The Williamsons’ sound continues to captivate audiences. Coming from their latest album Tell Somebody, Shout is only the beginning, and more #1 hits may follow from this talented and dynamic group.
Donnie Williamson, the group’s manager, shared his appreciation: “What a blessing we’ve received with our first #1 song. It’s truly a team effort. We’re blessed to work with amazing singers like Karl Rice, Darin Hebert, and my wife, Lisa. Big thanks to Donna King, who produced the song, and Les Butler for his exceptional work on radio promotions. And of course, a huge thank you to the radio DJs who played this song. This is a true blessing from God, whom we serve and sing about every week.”
Southern Gospel music is known for its heartfelt messages of faith, hope, and salvation. With timeless melodies and powerful harmonies, it continues to inspire and uplift listeners across generations. The Williamsons have cemented their place as one of the genre’s top quartets with Shout, proving that Southern Gospel music remains a powerful force for praise.
