Science Matters: Mission to Mars

Get ready to embark on an exciting Mission to Mars! This STEM-based event takes our partner school 5th grade students through outer space to Gateway, NASA’s moon outpost, and on Orion, the spacecraft designed to take humans further into space than we have ever gone before! Students explore different components such as welding and electrical wiring needed on spacecraft, the effects of space on the human body, and what it is like to walk on the surface of Mars. WWTC students from Construction Technology, Electrical Technology, Welding & Metal Fabrication Technology, Health Science Careers, Information & Communication Technology, Business Technology, Visual Communications, Teacher Prep/Early Care, and Biotechnology are utilized to introduce related programs to the 5th graders.
